Coming this fall – Glimmerglass Film Days

header2 with textjpgGlimmerglass Film Days celebrates the natural and historic resources of the upstate Cooperstown, NY, region. At the headwaters of the Susquehanna River  ̶  on the shores of Lake Otsego  ̶  one of the first uniquely American novelists, James Fenimore Cooper, pioneered a nearly 200-year-old environmental ethic that inspires to the present day.  A showcase for powerful, acclaimed films that reflect our complex relationships with the natural world, Glimmerglass Film Days encourages environmental stewardship through encounters and lively collaboration with world-class artists, activists and scholars. Exceptional films about natural and built environments around the world and at home are enhanced with discussions, tours, hikes and exhibits exploring the storied Glimmerglass Historic District.
