The Van Patten Hop House received a 2005 Historic Preservation Award for its rehabilitation.  Located in the hamlet of Middlefield Center in Otsego County, this project received funding through the New York State Barn Restoration and Preservation Grant Program.

The American Hotel, located in Sharon Springs, Schoharie County, received a 2001 Historic Preservation Award.  This Greek Revivial style hotel, built between 1847 and 1851, had stood vacant for years.  Now in active use as a hotel and restaurant, the American Hotel is a cornerstone of the community’s revitalization.

In 2004, the Cooperstown Elementary School’s Fourth Grade Class and the Cooperstown Graduate Program won an award for their exhibit "Journey to the North: New York’s Freedom Trail." This  Underground Railroad exhibit combined original artwork from the Fourth Grade Class with interpretive panels developed by students in the Cooperstown Graduate Program.
