2012 Markets

May - December,

Every Saturday

Regular markets begin again on Saturday May 12.

Tuesday Markets

July-Sept. 12pm-5pm

Visitors to the Cooperstown Farmers' Market can look forward to the quality items local customers have come to expect. The selection is wonderful, from seasonal fruits and vegetables to all cuts of local meats and fresh poultry. We also have a bounty of local eggs, cheese, yogurt, honey and maple syrup, home-baked sweets and treats, flowers and greenery, as well as handmade crafts and herbal lotions and lots more.

The only heated indoor farmers' market in the region, the Cooperstown Farmers' Market is located just off Main Street in Pioneer Alley and operates year round rain or shine.

News:

The Cooperstown Farmers’ Market is pleased to announce that on the evening of April 18th the Chenango County Council of the Arts awarded a grant of $600 in support of the market’s 2012 local musicians program. The award was part of $80,000 distributed through the Broome, Chenango, and Otsego County Decentralization Grants to area non-profits organizations.

The Broome, Chenango & Otsego Decentralization Program serves as a catalyst for local cultural development exposing children, adults and seniors to events that enrich and enhance their lives. Funding provided through these programs helps to strengthen our communities by reaching the most rural of our townships and villages, providing increased access to a greater quality of life.

Volunteer Scott Andersen manages the market’s local musicians program, which includes thirty-three performances by local artists over the course of the market season. Last year, the musicians provided quite a variety of music from jazz to bluegrass, which included: The Hot Diggity Dogs, Stoddard Hollow String Band, Expectations, No Center Line, Esther Grace Ellis, Jazz Duo Augmented, Skip West, Mary Doherty, Paul Weber, Driftwood, Bert’s Be Home By Eleven Band, Some Form of Gypsies, Just Throw Money, Mike Herman So-lo, Tumbledown Shack, The Dawg Band, Shaker Creek, The Bassett Hounds, Katie Boardman, and the Tony Brower Band.

Otsego 2000 is the proud sponsor of the Cooperstown Farmers’ Market, since 1991. Otsego 2000 is a not-for-profit organization founded in 1981 to protect the environmental, scenic, cultural and historic resources of the Otsego Lake region and northern Otsego County.

The Cooperstown Farmers' Market is located in downtown Cooperstown, just off Main Street, in Pioneer Alley.  The Market operates rain or shine.
