How to Apply

Thank you for your interest in joining the Cooperstown Farmers' Market. Since 1991 the Market has provided a lively setting for farmers, bakers, crafters, and food producers to directly market their goods to Cooperstown's diverse summer population of baseball tourists, opera tourists, and full-time and seasonal residents. Over the years the market has grown to include 5 holiday markets in November and December.

Vendor Prerequisites

Membership is limited to producers within a 50-mile radius of the Cooperstown Farmers' Market. Vendors must produce at least 80% of the goods they plan to sell at market. Vendors are required to submit a copy of their liability insurance, and any applicable licenses or certificates (e.g., food processing license, nursery dealer registration certificate, etc.) as well as photos of their display, with their application.

Jury Process

A committee made up of five full-time vendors, the market manager, and a representative of the market board juries applications to ensure quality in the market. The Vendor Selection Committee meets the second Saturday of each month during the regular market season to review new applications and products. The Market Manager determines space availability, and advises the VSC in the areas of product diversity and quality.

Everyone needs to fill out the latest application form, which we have available below in PDF form. As of 2006, all vendors need to fill out an Inspection Agreement Form, found below in PDF form.
