Food Access Initiatives
Customers using SNAP can get up to $60 worth of local food for a $20 SNAP spend. SNAP welcome at every Market. A match of up to $20 for SNAP-eligible food is provided by the Cooperstown Lions Club SNAP Match program, and the Double Up Food Bucks program offers an additional match of up to $20 to buy fruit and vegetables. Ask for the Farmers’ Market manager to get started. We also welcome vouchers from the Cooperstown Food Pantry. Find out more
SNAP is welcome at each market, and is matched by the Cooperstown Lions Club (up to $20) and the Double Up Food Bucks NY program, run by Field & Fork Network. So a $20 SNAP spend results in $60 worth of local food. In November 2025, when the government was shut down and SNAP was not funded, Otsego 2000 provided vouchers to those with $0 balances on their EBT cards.
*In November and December 2025, Otsego 2000 and the Market participated in the New York State FreshConnect Emergency Response program and distributed $2,000 in checks to be used at the Market.
The Cooperstown Food Pantry offers their clients vouchers each month to use at the Farmers’ Market.
